IBM believes that businesses are moving from "adding AI to operational processes" (Plus AI) to the "AI comes first" (AI Plus).

With AI Plus (AI+), businesses build AI solutions before completing specialized departments, thereby turning artificial intelligence into a development center, creating a positive impact on all activities and services. necessary. According to IBM, AI+ solutions improve 40% of human productivity, solve 90% of problems arising from the customer care department, and handle 60% of software development requests thanks to the ability to automatically analyze data. integrate applications, create and convert programming code.

From this result, IBM assesses that moving to the AI+ model is already a technology trend and will continue to expand in 2024.

However, an IBM representative said that to perfect the AI+ model, businesses need to meet some more special requirements than the old model. First, they must empower and provide AI research teams with the tools to train, tune, and deploy machine learning models. In addition, these models also need to be designed to operate on a multi-cloud architecture, focusing on collecting and retrieving the business's own data sources.

Second, businesses must soon build a data repository that is tightly managed but still allows AI access to learn and share content to serve operational processes. Finally, businesses need to create specific processes to make AI work in a transparent and responsible manner, thereby creating trust from employees in this tool.

"The AI ​​Plus model will operate effectively when it adheres to three basic principles: AI is designed and used for the purpose of supporting human intelligence; ensure data and information sources are always owned by the managing unit; The output content provided by AI should always be transparent and explainable," said Patel.

This year, IBM introduced Watsonx - a data and artificial intelligence platform that supports building and refining machine learning models, helping to simplify company development towards AI Plus.
